Schefter says the Eagles sent the Lions a third-round draft pick in exchange for Golden Tate.

"It's been real DETROIT!"

Originally drafted late in the second round (60th overall) in the 2010 draft, Tate played four seasons for the Seahawks, averaging 41 receptions, 549 yards, and almost four touchdowns per year. I'll love ya forever.

News broke of Tate being traded to the Eagles on Tuesday, and it didn't take him long to react to the news on Twitter.

The former Super Bowl champ didn't think he'd be among the players dealt at the deadline. The Notre Dame product has 44 catches for 517 yards and three touchdowns through seven games.

Tate, 30, has been in the National Football League since 2010, when he was drafted in the second round by the Seattle Seahawks.

"Tate's 30 years old and still highly productive, but he's in a contract year so you're talking about an eight- or nine-game rental", Pelissero said. His career totals with the Lions include 416 receptions, 4,741 yards and 22 touchdowns.
