Joel Embiid Says He's in Andre Drummond's Head

But in a game as insane as that one, there were plenty of other subplots to talk about, and Joel Embiid is always willing to talk.

Just before that, Embiid scored in the post on Drummond to put Philly up, 120-118. It was Drummond's second technical foul.

Drummond called Embiid an "Emmy Award-winning actor" after he was ejected in the 4th quarter of the Pistons' thrilling 133-132 overtime win over the 76ers on Wednesday, October 24, no thanks to Embiid's apparent flop. "At one point, I think [referee] Tyler [Ford] said that the next cheap shot, the next one is going to get a technical foul, and that's why he got the other technical foul".

Embiid said all he was doing was just talking and trying to win the game. You can see that he hit me, his hand actually touched my face.

Even after his team lost, Embiid said of Drummond, "I think I own a lot of real estate in his head".

Per Michael Rothstein of ESPN.com, Drummond said he was warned by the officials about the physical play between the two big men. I'm not anxious about him! "I heard everybody tell him to keep shooting".

Simmons is averaging 12 points, 9.3 rebounds and 7.7 assists per game so far this season. The NBA ruling stated that Embiid flopped on the play. He was not available to the media after the game but responded to Embiid on Twitter a few hours later.

It's an interesting question of whether this 3-0 start from the Pistons is a testament to Stan Van Gundy for acquiring most of these players or an indictment on him that they didn't play better before.

In case you were wondering, their next meeting is coming up soon.

In the individual matchup, Embiid had the edge once again.
