With just a few short days to go before the official launch of Rockstar Games' Red Dead Redemption 2, there's no doubt that myriad gamers are eagerly anticipating this weekend's arrival so that they will finally be able to get their hands on a copy of the title.
Red Dead Redemption 2 is going to be a prequel to the 2010 smash hit western shooter and while the game was confirmed to take place at the same location that the original game took place in, many fans speculated whether the map of the first game would be included in the final game.
So yeah, it appears that MediaMarkt had no inside information about the PC listing. It's possible that might happen with the upcoming prequel as well, though it does seem unlikely given the two separate indications of a PC release for Red Dead Redemption 2.
"It's true we had the RDR2 PC version listed".
"I checked this with the games department at our headquarters and got told that it's something of a placeholder and that they count on it being announced sometime in the future (just as with GTA V for example)".
Set in 1899, twelve years before the original's setting, Red Dead Redemption 2 centres on Arthur Morgan, an outlaw and member of the Van der Linde gang in the American Old West.
So if Rockstar Games were to follow suit, there wouldn't be a port for PC until at least 2020.
Either way, they're some of the better Xbox One X deals that have been kicking around.
