So to round out the rest of its 2018 gadget releases, Apple is holding another event on October 30 at the Howard Gilman Opera House in Brooklyn, and invites have already started trickling out. Press invites for the event feature various Apple logo designs, with the same handwritten-style tagline: "There's more in the making".

Specifically, Apple is rumored to be adopting an iPhone X-like design, with minimized bezels and dropping the physical Home button. During the upcoming event, the company will likely announce revamped iPad Pro models, which are rumored to include Apple's Face ID technology and a display that goes almost edge to edge.

Reports suggest that at the event Apple could also unveil a refreshed MacBook Air, the most affordable Mac in Apple's notebook lineup.

The latest 12-inch MacBook line and the entire MacBook Pro family support direct USB-C connections, which will probably be the case for next-gen iPad Pro models as well.

Apple typically streams the event live on its website and on Apple TV. It's still unclear if the new iPad Pro will feature an in-display notch like the iPhone XS to accommodate the device's Face ID module.

It's been expected that Apple would host another event this year, following the iPhone event in early September.

Guess we'll just have to wait until 30 October to find out what Apple has in store for the Christmas holidays.

Apple could also launch AirPower, the wireless charger for iPhones that is supposed to come out in 2018. Specifically, the MacBook Air is expected to be refreshed at this event.
