Black Ops 4 Physical Sales Down by 50% Compared to CoD WW2

Although new mechanics such as sprays and emotes have only just been added to Activision's latest blockbuster Call of Duty: Black Ops 4, it hasn't taken long for wily players to figure out a way to exploit them for nefarious needs.

Across all platforms, the number of players who connected Black Ops 4 online on the first day increased from Call of Duty: WWII, though Activision did not provide any details on how dramatic the increase was.

The multiplayer first-person shooter game set the launch day record for digital releases in Activision history, breaking the record set previous year by Call of Duty: WWII, the company said Sunday.

In addition to the usual bucketload of game modes, maps and Zombies, Black Ops 4 borrows one or two tricks from rival shooters.

Assuming that update is released soon, that quick response is a good sign for the responsiveness and support Black Ops 4 might receive going forward.

"Black Ops 4 is an incredible game, and the community's response to it has been wonderful".

Activision also noted that the game set a new PlayStation record for day one digital full game sales on PlayStation Store across the globe, though, again, no exact numbers were given. If Black Ops 4 had set a day one record for online players for the franchise then the publisher would have said so. It's a pretty big deal in the game's tactical Blackout battle royale mode, but the developers have already stated that they're aware of the problem and a fix is on its way.

Gunplay is lightning-quick and responsive as hell, but with a greater focus on Specialists and specific abilities, you'll need to know who to pick (and who to avoid).

Black Ops 4 is also available on PC via Battle.net-and it was a success there as well.
