Rapper Kanye West is seated while meeting with President Donald Trump and others in the Oval Office of the White House, Thursday, Oct. 11, 2018, in Washington. The two men were getting ready for lunch with National Football League great Jim Brown, Ivanka Trump, and Jared Kushner.

The rapper and new bestie of President Trump traded the button-down shirt and MAGA hat he wore to 1600 Pennsylvania Ave. for casual togs topped by a U.S. Postal Service vest and a purple hat. West said. "When we make everything in China and not America, we're cheating on our country".

Sporting his now-signature "Make America Great Again" hat, West made his first trip to the executive mansion to move the needle on several issues close to his heart and, before he deleted it, his social media feed - among them prison reform, gang violence and his hometown of Chicago.

Ahead of a private lunch, President Donald Trump and West spoke with reporters as they sat across from each other at the Resolute desk.

Over a lunch of caprese salad and roast chicken, Gidley said discussion would be centered on "President Trump's historic work to benefit all Americans".

Speaking in front of a dozen cameras, West greeted Trump with open arms and shared his love for him as a "father figure" in his life.

"Yeah, that's the president of the United States sitting quietly while an irrational madman rants and raves at him", Kimmel said, showing footage of Trump nodding as Kanye went on and on and on.

"I would suggest that the president maybe curtail these kinds of engagements", she said on CNN Thursday.

West proceeded to pitch Trump on a hydrogen powered plane that he said should replace Air Force One.

Mr. West said that he didn't have "a lot of male energy" in his home due to his parents' separation and noted that he is married into a family of strong women-including his wife, Kim Kardashian.

After one of West's 10-minute sermon-style speeches, the president took over, complimenting the rapper for being a "smart cookie".

Live from the Oval Office, it's Kanye West with a jaw-dropping performance.

T.I. has reached his limit with Kanye West. "You made a Superman cape for me, also, as a guy who looks up to you ... looks up to American industry guys, nonpolitical, no bullshit - put the beep on it - however you wanna do it, five-second delay ..."

"I'm standing in this spot, I love this guy!"
