Google Pixel Slate seems focused on providing useful productivity features mixed with a traditional Chrome OS experience that makes surfing the web and consuming other media extremely simple.

The third generation of Pixel phones, which was also unveiled Tuesday at an event in NY, features screens that span from one edge to another.

Like the new iPhone XS and XS Max, the new Google Pixel 3 and Pixel 3XL allow you to adjust the blurriness of the background after shooting Portrait Mode photos. And, the fact that the launch event was nothing short of a doozy didn't help Google's case in the slightest. Buyers across the European Union can expect the same pricing structure for the Pixel 3 phones, assuming Boulanger posted accurate information. Pre-orders for the phones start online on 11 October on Flipkart and Airtel stores as well as offline partners including Reliance Digital, Croma and other leading stores across India. Both phones will be available for sale at Best Buy, Bell, Costco, Fido, Freedom, Koodo, Rogers, Telus, T-Booth, Videotron, Virgin Mobile, WirelessWave, Walmart, WoW Mobile in the coming weeks.

The Pixel 3 XL's 6.3-inch "flexible OLED" screen offers 2,960 x 1,440 resolution. Both phones have high-end specs including a Snapdragon 845, 4GB of RAM, and 64 or 128GB of storage.

The Pixel 3 XL hits the Indian market on November 1 and it will be sold at Rs 83,000 for the base version.

The Pixel line-up is known for its AI-enabled camera performance and Pixel 3 and 3 XL take it a bit further. There was one feature in particular, however, that probably should have been mentioned because it's the one Pixel 3 feature that should make every Android fan want the phone. Users will be able to take advantage of the sought-after bokeh effect, and the front-facing camera has been optimized for video chatting with a wide-angle lens and larger pixels.

Super Res Zoom combines several photos "to create a handsome, zoomed-in shot so you can get closer to the details and frame the shot you want", Rakowski said.

Google's new Pixel phones mirror the industry trend moving the devices toward lusher, bigger screens and add new twists on the camera for taking better selfies and other pictures. Google's custom wireless charging stand for the phones is another $80. The keyboard attachment will be sold separately for an extra $199 and the PixelBook Pen is available for an extra $99. When you dock your phone you can control it with Google Assistant and it acts as a bedside Google Home Hub of sorts with a smaller screen.
