As expected, the iPhone XS is no cheaper than last year's iPhone X, but thankfully no more expensive either.

Apple first added dedicated on-device machine learning to last year's chipsets, but this new generation is supposed to be around 9 times faster that last year's model while using less energy.

Apple will release the iPhone XS, a faster version of its flagship X, later this month.

The iPhone XS features a 5.8-inch OLED display with 2,436 x 1,125 resolution and 458 pixels per inch. This system has a new wide-angle camera with larger pictures and a telephoto lens with a wider aperture, making it so both should do a bit better in low-light than their predecessor.

Unfortunately, there's no 3D Touch but Apple is replacing it with Haptic Touch that claims to offer a similar feedback as their MacBook Pro trackpads.

There's also Dual-SIM support but for those outside of China would need to use an e-SIM for the secondary connection. "Many operators will greet Apple's introduction of eSIMs with apprehension, yet the move should be grasped as an opportunity, rather than feared as a threat", he said. There will also be 128GB and 256GB models.

Apple has bolstered the batteries loaded into each phone too.

If we refer to Apple Singapore's pricing, the iPhone XS is priced from RM4,974 for the base model with 64GB and it goes up to RM7,086 for the 512GB version of the iPhone XS Max.

The iPhone XR is kind of that. Both phones are available for pre-order this Friday, Sept. 14, and begin shipping Sept. 21.

Apple says the heart data can be shared with doctors, though it's not yet clear how ready doctors are to getting all that.

Apple's new iPhone models don't have one revolutionary feature, but they have some incremental improvements that continue to make them some of the best phones on the market.

"Now you can take an ECG any time, anywhere, right from the wrist".

The new watch, with a price tag that starts at $399 in the United States and €499 ($580) in Germany, is a more comprehensive health device.

Apple had earlier introduced eSIM back in 2017 when it launched Apple Watch 3 Series. The larger display size allows the device to show more information.

Apple has unveiled a new series of watches with health care a key focus.

All that new hardware has a number of benefits.

Perhaps most importantly of all, iOS 12 brings a major boost to older iPhones: 40% faster app launches, 50% faster keyboard pop-up, and a 70% speed increase in camera opening.

Apple's strategy of selling pricier phones amid waning demand for smartphones has propelled the Cupertino-based company to become the first publicly traded U.S. company to hit a market value of more than $1 trillion (€860 billion).
