Three new iPhones are heading our way: the XS, XS Max, and the XR.
Indeed, yesterday people were buzzing that the iPhone Xr offered nearly everything notable about the iPhone X. It has the edge-to-edge display, Face ID and a portrait mode-capable camera (even if it doesn't have dual lenses). For most customers, the compromises (LCD rather than OLED display, one camera instead of two, aluminum edge instead of stainless steel) won't matter almost as much as the $250 savings.
These smartphones are also running iOS 12, but iOS 12 has not officially launched right now, so it could be the developer's preview installed on the iPhone 8 Plus. The switch to a bezel-less display at the front along with stainless steel chassis gives the iPhone Xs Max a far premium look and feel than the Plus-sized iPhone. It also features IP68 certification which makes it water-resistant - beer and tea as well - in 2m depth for up to 30 minutes. But hey! There's IP68 water resistance on offer here, and a new Gold color in addition to Silver and Space Gray.
Apple iPhone 8 iPhone 8 Plus 64GB is now available at a new price of Rs 69,900 as compared to its previous price tag of Rs 77,560. iPhone 8 Plus with 256GB in-built storage will now retail at Rs 84,900.
Two years ago, a brand-new flagship Apple smartphone started at $650. With the iPhone Xs though, Apple is taking things to a different level altogether. It also packs the same Apple A12 Bionic with 6 cores along with 3GB RAM.
You have probably been watching Apple's event with great interest and heard all about the new devices announced for release in the coming weeks. While expensive, this option is primarily targetted at the ultimate power users.
"More choices will drive more users who are on an aging installed base of iPhones to move to the next gen form factor" in fiscal 2019 and 2020. Apple's calling it "Depth Control".
So, while the company has been offering a $29 deal on everything from the iPhone 6 to the iPhone X for months, it's now moving those to $49.
Apple's new iPhone XS, pronounced "ten S", has a 5.8-inch (14.7-cm) screen, and will be sold at a starting price of $999. As for the iPhone11,6 identifier, this appears to be the iPhone Xs thanks to the 4GB of RAM detailed in the specifications list. It is also capable of capturing Portrait photos with fake bokeh effect, something which one can not do on the iPhone 8 Plus. It has the same upgraded technology as the iPhone XS phones, and you can take Bokeh portrait shots with the help of software.
The lack of Touch ID on the iPhone Xs Max will definitely bug a lot of people. It's a slightly lower-end and more affordable version of the XS.
Finally, TechRadar's Gareth Beavis states that, despite not being able to test the potency of the iPhone XR's battery, which remains an unknown quantity in terms of mAh, he believes "there are a few good reasons to think that the iPhone XR could have better battery life than expected". There's a type A cable with support of 5W lightning charger.
