Earlier this week, former Carolina Panthers WR Kelvin Benjamin pretty much blasted his entire time with the franchise, especially Cam Newton and questioned his intelligence at the QB position. In fact, things may have escalated.
Buffalo Bills wide receiver Kelvin Benjamin said he was not "even trying to listen" to Carolina Panthers quarterback Cam Newton during what appeared to be a tense pregame interaction Thursday before the teams' preseason opener. That may not be the case anymore, as Newton didn't seem able to say what he wanted when approaching Benjamin in-person.
The Carolina Panthers have spent roughly the past three weeks in training camp preparing for the upcoming season. I don't know, man ... "I get it. I know what that's like, but you'd like to see him kind of move forward to his new team and embrace his new opportunity, rather than kind of go personal on it". Anybody! QBs with knowledge, who know how to place a ball and give you a better chance to catch the ball. "Looking back on it, I should've just been drafted by somebody else", Benjamin recently told The Athletic's Tim Graham.
Newton did his best to sidestep the comments by Benjamin. Benjamin has grown cold in Buffalo.
