Priyanka Chopra was set to act with Chris Pratt in an upcoming Universal Studios film "Cowboy Ninja Viking". The film was earlier scheduled to release on June 28, 2019. Cowboy Ninja Viking's story centres around a lethal agent, played by Pratt, whose treatment by a psychotherapist leaves him with "an ability to manifest the deadliest attributes of the three titular personas". The film is a feature adaptation of the Image Comics graphic novel of the same name from AJ Lieberman and illustrator Riley Rossmo, reported Deadline. This meant shooting would need to start soon. He already has Jurassic World with Universal, which released Fallen Kingdom this summer to huge box office numbers. The movie has gone through several drafts, including an original draft from 'Deadpool" writers Rhett Rheese and Paul Wernick, with the most recent draft by "Rampage" scribe Ryan Engle and "Wrath Of The Titans' writer Dan Mazeau - so it's clear that they're content not to rush it simply to make a release date. In the meantime, we have Avengers 4 to look forward too, which will find Chris Pratt reprising his role as Star-Lord for a forth time. And it sounded like things were coming together nicely as Priyanka Chopra, perhaps best known for her turn in The Rock's Baywatch movie, joined the action comedy last week. However, the film-starring Chris Pratt in the lead-is still in "active development" according to the report. The actor will next be seen in Vincent D'Onofrio's western The Kid, and he also returns for The LEGO Movie 2: The Second Part.

According to Variety, star Pratt and director Michelle MacLaren are still on board the film, which will reportedly be given a new release date.
