Pogba's agent travels to force move

Pogba came through the youth system at United before leaving for Juventus on a free transfer.

Pogba did not want to continue partnering Nemanja Matic at the base of a two-man midfield, and instead pushed for United to switch to a 4-3-3 - giving him his preferred position on the left of a midfield three.

The Sun says Raiola was last night trying to secure a move away from Old Trafford as he held talks with the club.

Former Manchester United defender Wes Brown believes that Paul Pogba will stay put at Manchester United this season and express himself more for the Red Devils.

It was a hard season at Old Trafford for Pogba previous year, but he ended it on a high being a key player for France as they lifted the World Cup in Russian Federation.

The Portuguese harshly criticised some of the younger players on tour with his team in the USA, while he has also warned the board over their lack of activity in the transfer window.

There have been concerns for some time that Pogba has been distracted by his commitments off the pitch and a growing entourage. With that out of the way he's coming good though we all know he can do even better.

"I think the World Cup is the ideal habitat for a player like him to give the best. Why?" Because it's closed for a month, where he can only think about football.

Sources close to the player confirmed they were accurate, but the chances of United allowing him to leave Old Trafford two years into a five-year deal always seemed unlikely. According to Italian news outlet Calciomercato, French midfielder Paul Pogba's agent has met up with Barcelona chiefs and negotiated on a deal to lure the United star to Camp Nou.

The midfielder had been linked with a possible move to Barcelona earlier this week and the manager of the Catalan giants only added fuel to the fire of the rumour by acting coy when asked about a bid for the Frenchman.
