James has always been critical of Trump.

Trump traveled to a high school north of Columbus for a political rally Saturday night. Minnesota center Karl Anthony Towns questioned why Trump was using his time to tweet about this instead of addressing the water issues in Flint, MI. "Lebron James was just interviewed by the dumbest man on television, Don Lemon", Trump tweeted.

James said he chose to open the school, located down the street from his high school, because he knows exactly what young students are going through. Just about more philanthropic work Trump has ever done combined.

Trump insulted the intelligence of both the National Basketball Association superstar and CNN host Don Lemon in a Friday night tweet, writing "Lebron James was just interviewed by the dumbest man on television, Don Lemon".

President Donald Trump took to Twitter on August 3 to totally diss LeBron James in a tweet that slammed his interview with Don Lemon and implied that he wasn't smart. Via a spokesperson, Jordan said, as per Geoff Bennett of NBC News.

James also said he would never "sit across" from Trump. "He's doing an unbelievable job for his community", said Jordan, according to CNN.

Though Jordan hasn't played in years, fans have endlessly argued about which athlete is better on the pro-basketball court - James or Jordan.

Lemon asked James what he would say to Trump if he were sitting in the room. It's clear people have LeBron James' back - even Melania Trump defied her husband to express her support for the would-be subject of his bully tweets.

On Saturday night, the president took to Twitter to bash James following a Monday night interview James did with CNN's Don Lemon. I like Mike!' Trump tweeted, most likely referring to Michael Jordan.

James has been critical of the president and his administration in the past, and his dislike of CNN has been well established. "Not shocked it happened during a week where LeBron literally opened a school for at-risk kids".

And all of this was in ideal timing to of Trump's rally in Delaware County, Ohio on Saturday afternoon.
