After completing the European portion of their tour On the Run II, the artists arrived in the U.S. where recently acted at Landover, Maryland.

After videos of Obama and Michelle dancing at the concert began circulating, many on Twitter tweeted their excitement.

This follows Michelle Obama's appearance at a Jay-Z and Beyonce concert in Paris earlier this month.

Beyoncé and the Obamas have a bit of a history together. Beyonce sang at one of Obama's very first inaugural balls, and she returned for his second inauguration, to sing the National Anthem.

In 2008, Beyonce performed "At Last" during Barack Obama's first inauguration, and she went on to collaborate with Michelle Obama on her "Let's Move" campaign combatting childhood obesity. "So we try to prop open the door of opportunity so that it's a little easier for those who come up behind us to succeed as well". The North American tour, meanwhile, is now in full swing with the power couple making their way from Cleveland, Washington, and soon, Philadelphia then Rutherford. Then the names of black men killed by police - unarmed black men - appeared on the big screens next to the stage. The event will be a tribute to anti-apartheid leader Nelson Mandela. Bey and Jay are the unofficial king and queen of hip hop, while the Obamas are America's favorite first couple since John F. Kennedy and Jackie Onassis.

Others, however, were not too impressed.
