The subscription model is upon us, gamers, and Electronic Arts have been in the game for some time now.
Origin Access Premier, announced during EA Play at E3 in June, has gone live as promised last week. Madden NFL 19, Federation Internationale de Football Association 19, Battlefield V and Anthem will all be added to Premier once they release. If you already have Origin Premier and are thinking about moving over, that's an addition $10 a month.
Some of the titles that are available through Premier include The Sims 4 Bundle (which features the Dine Out and Kids Room Stuff DLCs), Star Wars Battlefront II, and A Way Out. Federation Internationale de Football Association 18 is a good example of this; the latest addition to the Federation Internationale de Football Association series yet to be added to the Origin Access collection despite launching back in 2017.
Origin Access Premier looks to change all that.
It's clear video game streaming is becoming the wave, and EA has been one of the first companies to get on board with allowing gamers access to massive libraries for a fee. You'll be able to check out the Anthology-style campaign in Battlefield 5 and the open world in Anthem without having to slam down £50 a piece.
Along with its own titles, EA has recently begun listing games from other publishers, including Warner Bros' Batman Arkham series alongside a handful of popular indie titles like Mini Metro, Crashlands and more.
"Origin Access Premier offers players a wealth of content, including all of EA's PC games and numerous titles from other publishers in a single membership", said Michael Blank, Senior Vice President, Player Network, "As our first-ever subscription service with full access to newly-released EA games, we're offering players more freedom to play the games they want, anytime they want".
Origin Access Premier sounds ideal for fans of EA games, but when will it be available? Ideally, players can pay either $14.99 Dollars a month or pay $99.99 USD for the entire year to the Origin Access Premier subscription service which has some solid perks all year long.
Even if you decide to only subscribe for a few months, it's still worth trying out for a bit since you'll save quite a bit if you decide not to purchase a game and opt instead to "borrow" it from the service.
