A van driver, who was caught on camera apparently driving into puddles on objective to splash unsuspecting pedestrians, has been fired from his job following a police investigation into his rampage.

The video had been watched more than 624,000 times by Sunday afternoon, and some outraged viewers posted comments on Black and McDonald's Facebook page.

Luckily for the driver, he will not face any charges from the incident. "This is an isolated incident and the individual is no longer employed with Black & McDonald", the company said.

Ever been splashed on a rainy day, as a passing driver decides it'd be utterly hilarious to drive through the puddles at the side of the road and leave you in severe need of a tumble dryer and a towel?

The video has been viewed more than 687,000 times since it was posted Friday.

A local contracting company has fired one of its drivers after dashcam video caught the driver swerving to splash at least three pedestrians.

Sergeant Mark Gatien of the Ottawa police said "I would like to thank Black & MacDonald Ottawa Div. for their quick and decisive action in this matter".

The video seemed to land in the hands of the proper authorities and just days after the incident, the driver was sacked.

The driver, who worked for trade contractor Black & McDonald, was dismissed following the incident.
