MCALLEN, Texas After touring a border processing facility today, Democratic lawmakers said they weren't convinced the Trump administration had any real plan to reunite immigrant children separated from their parents by USA border authorities. Raymundo said he has no plans, for now, to return to the United States. Immigration and Customs Enforcement has a total of about 3,300 beds at three family detention centers in Texas and Pennsylvania.

During the initial days of the zero-tolerance policy those children traveling in families whose parents were taken to criminal justice system jails to face prosecution for illegal entry were also sent to the Health Department. Parents and children were being detained separately. "When somebody comes in, we must immediately, with no Judges or Court Cases, bring them back from where they came".
The Democrats said they haven't seen a coherent system for reuniting parents and children.
Most families, under the order, are to be detained together, though the futures of those already separated under the initial policy are still unclear.
The Trump administration announced plans in April to prosecute all immigrants caught along the southwest border with illegally entering the country.
