It's been four days since the brutal attack, and the community has rallied around the family of 15-year-old Lesandro Guzman-Feliz, also known as Junior. "They dragged him from the store like a dog", she explained.
Police have released new surveillance video showing at least six people were involved in the attack, and shows the assailants fleeing in a white vehicle. "They were grown men and he was only 15". He was 15 yrs old and was stabbed to death by a group of multiple men Anything donated will be greatly appreciated. One of the attackers can be seen hacking at the teen with a machete while another one punches him over and over before the group speeds off in two separate cars. The New York Police Department (NYPD) is still searching for the assailants.
Guzman-Feliz reportedly lived one block from the bodega where the incident occurred and was heading downstairs to repay $5 to a friend, according to reports.
Guzman-Feliz was described as "a snazzy dresser who liked jeans and Air Jordans". I know it doesn't mean a lot. The teen then ran to the local hospital where he collapsed on the sidewalk after asking on-site officers for some water. While police continue to search for the five unidentified men responsible for his murder, Junior's family say they've received Facebook messages from men affiliated with the Trinitarios Dominican gang who admitted the teen was the victim of mistaken identity. On Friday, the hashtag "JUSTICEFORJUNIOR" shot to the top of Twitter (Lesandro's nickname is Junior, and a family member could be heard referring to him by that name in the second video), and Bronx rapper Cardi B posted a picture of Lesandro on Instagram. It's an expansive investigation with one salient objective: "#JusticeForJunior".
Anyone who recognizes the men from the video is asked to call police at 1-800-577-TIPS.
