Trevor, of course, sacrificed himself during World War I in 2017's Wonder Woman.

In a pleasant morning surprise, Warner Bros. has released the first Wonder Woman 2 images from the highly anticipated sequel, as filming on the follow-up is now underway.

Ages like a regular person and thus would NOT look like hunky, young Chris Pine during the '80s.

Judging by the people's clothes, Trevor is definitely in the 1980s... so this isn't a flashback. Returning director Patty Jenkins co-wrote the script with Geoff Johns (who contributed to the original film's story).

Plot details for the Wonder Woman sequel are now being kept under wraps. In addition to Gadot and Pine, the sequel's cast includes Pedro Pascal and Kristen Wiig in the role of the super-villain The Cheetah.

Additionally, Zack Snyder and Deborah Snyder are still involved as producers on the film alongside Jenkins, Gadot, Charles Roven, and Stephen Jones.

Joining her behind the scenes are several members of Jenkins' Wonder Woman team, including director of photography Matthew Jensen, Oscar-nominated production designer Aline Bonetto (Amélie), and Oscar-winning costume designer Lindy Hemming (Topsy-Turvy).

Set to open in theaters November 1, 2019, Wonder Woman 1984 is based on the character created by William Moulton Marston, appearing in comic books published by DC Entertainment.
