De Gea Not Ruling Out Madrid Move

Socialist leader Sanchez, who took over as prime minister earlier this month after conservative Mariano Rajoy lost a vote of confidence, criticised De Gea two years ago amid sexual assault claims against the Manchester United player. From the beginning I said that everything was a lie and some even said that I shouldn't be in the national team and, in the end, it was shown to be a lie.

Madrid came desperately close to signing the player in the summer of 2015 only to run out of time for getting the deal over the line - and the player subsequently put pen to paper on a four-year contract with the Red Devils. De Gea said he is ready to counter star Real marksman Cristiano Ronaldo.

According to Metro, David said: "My future? The most important thing right now is the World Cup, I can not think of anything else or get distracted".

"You have to be focused on having a good World Cup - we are all good". Our qualifying campaign was nearly ideal and our idea is to carry that through in the finals, with a little luck and the team we've got, hopefully we can go far.

For now, though, De Gea does not intend to discuss his plans beyond the tournament.

On the contrary, Real Madrid have found astounding success under Zinedine Zidane.
