Navarro, a Republican strategist and "never Trumper", confessed her preference to CNN host Brooke Baldwin on Tuesday during a segment that centered on Alec Baldwin's recent comment to Howard Stern that he is "1,000 percent" sure he would "absolutely win" if he ever challenged Trump for the presidency.

Appearing on The Howard Stern Show last week, Baldwin spoke about how he could beat Trump in an election and that he learned the first lady enjoys his impression of her husband.

Stern suggested the highly opinionated Baldwin run for office and asked the actor how he would fare against Trump.

Baldwin has previously been incredibly critical of the president, and regularly parodies him on "Saturday Night Live". Hands down, I would win. "It'd be the funniest, most exciting, most insane campaign".

Stern replied, "I've got a name for you: Alec Baldwin".

The actor and the president are somewhat connected. I mean, somebody great is gonna come up, I hope. "I'd love to run for that kind of position to just have things be very common sense. There are so many things that this country needs to do that are so obvious".

A year ago while appearing on "The Brian Lehrer Show", Alec said, "Someone told me - who's friends with someone in the White House, or formerly in the White House - that Melania Trump loves "SNL" and she loves my impersonation". Stern raised the question of Baldwin being the hope of the Democratic Party, which he quickly refuted.

"I want the Democrats to have a smart opposition to keep them on their toes", he said.
