When IHOP said it would change its name to IHOb, the speculation ran rampant: The International House of Breakfast, or Bacon, or even Blintzes? Burger King has changed it's name to Pancake King after IHOP reveals it's now IHOB.
The president of IHOP welcomed the country to the restaurant chain's newest venture on "Fox & Friends" Monday morning. But Burger King was silent on social media.
The International House of Pancakes, otherwise known as IHOP, is changing its name.
"Dear Internet, we abbreciate your batience", the company said on Monday.
"Why couldn't you be worldwide house of brunch and start serving mimosas and bellinis?" one user asked, garnering hundreds of "likes". It revealed a number of new burgers on its menu, calling them "ultimate steakburgers", including a "big brunch" burger that comes topped with an egg. The "b" stands for burgers!
The restaurant chain is introducing seven new varieties of steak burgers and promoting itself as a lunch and dinner spot. It doesn't seem like any of the restaurant chain's original items will be changed or replaced as a result of the new burgers.

"We're serious about the quality of food and our menu, and this name change really reflects that", the executive director of communications said.
IHOP has changed its name to IHOb. "If you want a burger and beer, you are not going to come to IHOP".
