Multiple injuries were reported after a school bus was involved in a serious crash in Mount Olive Thursday morning, CBS New York reports.
The bus is owned by the Paramus Board of Education, the mayor added.
The body of the bus came completely off its chassis. Children were seen in the median area away from the bus.
A red dump truck with severe front end damage was also seen at the scene. All westbound lanes are presently closed. Some lanes have since reopened. Multiple ambulances responded to the scene.

Students were reportedly from a middle school in the Paramus school district. Raw video from the scene: The extent of the injuries is unknown, but at least two victims have life-threatening injuries. The accident involved a school bus, said Hackettstown Police Sgt. Darren Tynan.
The school bus and dump truck crashed on Interstate-80 near Exit 25. "It doesn't take long to look at this accident scene and to understand how horrific the injuries would be".
Darren Tynan told The Record that multiple people were taken to a hospital after the accident about 50 miles west of NY.
