Harry Styles is set to executive-produce a new sitcom loosely based on the early days of One Direction, titled 'Happy Together', which will air on American network CBS this US Autumn / NZ Spring.

Well, just after his success on the British X Factor and when One Direction was just starting to gain some traction with the teenage girls of the world, Harry lived with his friend Ben Winston and his wife in their suburban home in London.

During that time, Harry lived in award-winning producer Ben Winston's home when the house he initially wanted to move into wasn't quite ready, according to Rolling Stone.

"Those 20 months were when they went from being on a reality show, X Factor, to being the biggest-selling artists in the world", he said. "Then he said, 'I'm going to stay until Christmas, if you don't mind.' Then Christmas came, and.", Winston said. "And when he moved out, we were gutted".

The show will tell the story of a married couple living in suburbia who have their lives turned upside down when a young pop star moves in with them.

It's believed Harry will play a huge role as executive producer of the new sitcom, with leading actress Amber telling People "he's going to care about the stories that we're telling". Happy Together was announced today at CBS' Upfront presentation for advertisers.

Happy Together is Harry's first time behind the camera for a TV project, although he has already impressed in-front of one in Dunkirk, the 2017 war movie directed by Christopher Nolan.
