The site now confirms that the name of the next game from EA will indeed be Battlefield V while listing some of what'll be included in May 23's livestream. "Tune in on May 23 for a first look into how your epic journey with Battlefield V will be".
Back in March, I reported that Electronic Arts was planning to launch Battlefield V later this year. The stream will be hosted by comedian Trevor Noah.
Last week, EA and DICE hid the reveal date for Battlefield 2018 inside a cleverly crafted Battlefield 1 Easter Egg. But the tweet describes it as "V EXCITING!" and at the end of the video, he says, "We've got big news". For instance, a report from several months ago has pointed toward the likelihood of the title being set during World War II.
EA officially announced today that the next entry to the Battlefield series is Battlefield V, which will have its live reveal on May 23. You can watch it on YouTube, Twitch, and Mixer. Should this be the case, then the game could be taking a cue from Activision and Sledgehammer Games' Call of Duty: WW2.
DICE also promises new modes and experiences, along with some major overhauls to the gameplay.
It is quite possible that Wilson is teasing a battle royale mode for the game with the term "next level of large-scale multiplayer" and each battle being "unique".
