The other teams in the regional include the host No. 2 Florida Gators and Bethune Cookman.

The Alabama softball team's streak of hosting a regional in the NCAA Tournament is still alive.

Oregon State (28-26) got into the Tuscalooosa (Alabama) regional, Friday through Sunday.

This marks the eighth time in school history the Gamecocks have hosted a regional and the first time since 2002 the Gamecocks have been the top-seeded team.

The Texas State Bobcats head out West to the Los Angeles regional where they'll face Cal State Fullerton Friday at 7:30 p.m. CST. The victor of the Columbia Regional will be matched with the victor of the Arizona State Regional.

The Pac-12 has produced 24 of the 36 NCAA softball champions but none since Arizona State won the title in 2011.

The Sun Devils are the eight overall seed, while Arizona is the 14th overall seed.

The eight winners advance to the Women's College World Series, May 31-June 5 or 6 at Oklahoma City. From there it'll be two losses and done, with the last team standing moving on to another four team super regional.
