J. Cole tweeted "it's time" moments ago but deleted it literally seconds later.

The news comes as Cole held a surprise listening session tonight in NY, giving fans only two hours notice today to be at the Gramercy Theatre, a 500-capacity venue.

In the hours after the initial announcement was made, South Florida sensation, Smokepurpp, hopped on his social media & revealed that he's going to be featured on the album.

First Kendrick Lamar wins a Pulitzer, then Drake announces his new album is arriving in June, and now J. Cole out of nowhere has announced he's got a new album coming this Friday. "No press list. No guess list, ".

J. Cole is releasing a new album soon. Miller also says that the album has 12 tracks and was recorded in two weeks.

J. Cole has been rather quiet with releasing music and making guest appearances on others' songs.

At around 4 p.m. ET Monday, the rapper posted a cryptic message on Twitter asking his followers to "come through" to the Gramercy Theatre at 6 p.m. ET, with strict instructions to leave phones, bags and cameras at home.
