Fresh on the heels of its Shenmue I & II announcement over the weekend, Sega's confirmed it will be digging even further into its back catalogue with the release of Sega Ages for the Nintendo Switch this summer. The publisher and developer said that Alex Kidd in Miracle World (PlayStation 3 version) Gain Ground (arcade version) will be coming to the newly announced compilation. More than 15 games will eventually make their way to the console, 5 games were already revealed during Sega Fes, an event for Sega fans in Tokio: Sonic the Hedgehog, Phantasy Star, Thunder Force IV, Gain Ground and Alex Kidd. The section about the Pokemon Nintendo Switch game suggests that the upcoming game will feature brand new generation eight Pokemon. Thunder Force IV will see the Styx Mode from the SEGA Saturn edition return, and online leaderboards will also be supported. Now we just need to wait for E3 to roll around so Sega can provide us with a release schedule, as well as when Saturn, Dreamcast and arcade games will start rolling in. SEGA AGES will launch in North America, Europe, and Japan. As such, we prefer to treat these revelations as rumors until the Pokemon Company itself confirms these details regarding the Pokemon Nintendo Switch game. The last Pokemon game to be released was Pokemon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon, which was released on the Nintendo 3DS.
