The New York Knicks need to fill a coaching vacancy, and one former Knick hopes to get the call. Now, new General Manager Steve Mills and the Knicks are taking their time and doing an extensive search for the next man who will lead the team on the sidelines.

Naturally, the move has been followed by much speculation on who exactly will take his place, and now Metta World Peace has announced in his interest in reuniting with the New York Knicks, this time in Hornaceck's shoes. The rumored list includes Mark Jackson, Jeff Van Gundy, Jay Wright, Mike Woodson and David Fizdale, and now ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski has reported the Knicks have set up a meeting with David Blatt. He coached the Knicks to a 60-104 record in two seasons.

"The situation is what it is". I'm sure the front office, they will make the right decisions and build something that can go a long way. He had one year remaining on his contract. He did so due to frustration over the drama and dysfunction surrounding the organization.

Last year's drama-filled offseason created concern that Kristaps Porzingis' time in NY would end before it could even truly begin. NY can officially offer Porzingis the first extension of his career this summer. After helping lead the Cavs to the NBA Finals in his first season, the longtime overseas head coach was sacked halfway through the 2015-16 campaign, despite laying claim to an Eastern Conference-best 30-11 record.

Nevertheless, it seems Kristaps Porzingis wants to be a member of the New York Knicks. I want it to be mutual. "It's tough to imagine already that decision and me trying to make that decision right now".
