Scott's diffusion line for Moschino, Cheap and Chic, is by no means cheap-so the collaboration is a logical pairing, matching a designer with populist aspirations (many of his designs borrow motifs and silhouettes from pop and mass culture) with a retailer known for its accessibility and penchant for reproducing high-fashion looks.
Scott has designed new Moschino collections for both women and men, as well as a full range of accessories and "some extra surprises too", stated the press release from H&M.
"With H&M, Moschino can be all over the world".
Both Hadid and the designer were dressed in the first looks from the Moschino [tv] H&M collection, which will debut November 8, 2018. "Lots of young people love my clothes. and we make phone cases and little things like that, but in order to have a lewk, I love that this is now something that will be affordable".
He also gave fans hints of what was to come as he added that the collection would include "a silver sequinned parka dress" and denim pieces, puffers, and jackets with a twist. It's a thrill for me. Needless to say, the brand's followers freaked out accordingly in the comments, writing things such as "IM SO EXCITED FOR THIS YAAASSS" and "I'm so ready for this collaboration". I'm so conscious of the fans. "That's what this is about". Yup, Moschino (with Jeremy Scott at the creative helm) are getting in on the H&M collection party.
H&M's creative advisor, Ann-Sofie Johansson, said that the partnership is "the flawless collaboration for fashion right now" and mixes "pop, street culture, logos and also glamour".
With new designer collaborations coming each year, from Karl Lagerfeld to Versace and last year's very successful Erdem collection, the Moschino line could probably be one of the most highly anticipated in recent years.
"Jeremy Scott is awesome - he knows how to have fun with fashion, and to connect with his fans around the world", she added.
