Here's How Johnny Manziel Played In Last Night's Spring League Game

The former Heisman victor hasn't played in the National Football League since his time with the Cleveland Browns came to an end following the 2015 season.

Johnny Manziel's brief stint in the Spring League finished in familiar fashion on Thursday evening.

However, if nobody gives him a concrete offer, Manziel will likely look to take up the standing two-year offer he has from the Hamilton Tiger Cats in the CFL.

Manziel said he felt better on Thursday night than he did in the first game on Saturday.

"It's been beyond my wildest dreams", Manziel said.

Manziel was lights out in the first half, completing 80% of his passes for 145 yards.

With his team down 7-0 in the first quarter, Manziel set up his first touchdown by connecting with wide receiver Antwan Goodley on a 50-yard pass. One snap later, Johnny vaulted into the end zone on a 14-yard touchdown scamper.

On an ensuing drive, Manziel stepped up to avoid pocket pressure and pulled away from an attempted arm tackle to pick up a first down on 3rd-and-2. He also added six runs for 27 runs and two touchdowns. His South team fell to the West 34-17 at Kelly Reeves Stadium in Austin.

Manziel must now decide whether or not to accept his standing offer from the CFL's Hamilton Tiger-Cats - a two-year commitment - or wait for an National Football League team to come calling.

After two controversy filled seasons at A&M, Manziel declared for the National Football League draft and was taken in the first round by Cleveland.

"We know when deadlines are". I'm extremely happy just to be healthy, just to get to throw the ball around.

"I got to do exactly what I want to do", said Manziel, "and what I've been missing for the last two years".
