Vinod Khanna was posthumously honoured with the Dadasaheb Phalke Award.

Khanna, one of the biggest stars of Hindi films in '70s and '80s, became the 49th recipient of Dadasaheb Phalke award, Indian cinema's highest honour.

The Award for Best Location Sound Recordist was bagged by 'The Village Rockstar'.

Jayaraj was announced as the victor of Best Director Award for the Malayalam film Bhayanakam.

The best actor award was conferred to a Bengali actor Riddhi Sen for her performance in Bengali movie Nagarkirtan. SS Rajamouli's Baahubali has so far won in two categories- Best Action Direction and Special Effects.

The National Awards ceremony will be held on May 3. I had no idea I was even in the running. Vinod Khanna's funeral took place in Malabar Hills in Mumbai and was attended by his co-stars like Amitabh Bachchan, Rishi Kapoor and other celebrities from the film fraternity.

"Sinjar", made in Jasari language, won the Indira Gandhi award for the best debut film of a director to Pampally. Morkhya is adjudged the Best Children's Film.

The "Paddayi" bagged the best Tulu film award.

Best female playback singer award went to Shashaa Tirupati, an Indian origin Canadian playback singer, for her son "Vaan" in Tamil movie Kaatru Veliyidai while the best male playback singer award went to KJ Yasudas for his song "Poy Maranja Kalam" in Malayalam film 'Viswasapoorvam Mansoor'. It also won the best cinematography award.

Best choreography award went to Bollywood veteran Ganesh Acharya for song "Gori Tu Latth Maar" in Akshay Kumar-starrer 'Toilet Ek Prem Katha'. In the same category, Marathi Film, Morkhya; Oriya Film, Hello Mirror and Malayalam actor Parvathy, for Take Off were also awarded.

Announcing Sridevi's name, feature film jury head Shekhar Kapur said the actor was the most deserving candidate for her role as an avenging mother extracting justice for her abused daughter on her terms in MOM.
