Users of the Black Shark will not feel lacking in the phone's performance, that's for sure. The gamepad connects to the phone via Bluetooth and comes with its own rechargeable 340mAh battery, and features a single joystick which can be used for movement in mobile games.
Underneath the fine metal body finish of the Xiaomi Black Shark is the latest version of Qualcomm's latest the Snapdragon 845 SoC which runs a total of 8-cores that can click a max speed of 2.8GHz. The fingerprint scanner and home button at the bottom of the screen can also be turned off during gaming.
Xiaomi black shark gaming smartphone is equipped with 5.99-inch 2160*1080-pixel resolution, 550 nits' brightness, 97% colour DCI-P3 wide colour gamut and has 18:9 aspect ratio which will give you a high-quality view. As expected, the phone comes in two variants- 6GB RAM + 64GB ROM and 8GB RAM + 128GB ROM. The company claims that the liquid cooling will help reduce temperature up to 8 degrees Celsius.
In terms of the camera, the phone sports a dual-rear camera setup with 12-Megapixel+20-Megapixel lenses with f/1.75 aperture and a dual-LED flash. Further, it has a front camera with 20MP sensor with f/2.2 aperture and is capable of taking 4K videos. Luckily, Xiaomi included a 4,000mAh cell that recharges over USB-C. Moreover, the phone also support for Qualcomm's Quick Charge 3.0 tech. To power all this, the phone has a 4,000mAh battery with QuickCharge 4.0+ technology neatly tucked inside the boxy frame of the Razer Phone.
The specifications of the gaming-focused smartphone, however, is not the problem, as it has what it takes to challenge other similar devices like the Razer Phone. However, the phone falters when it comes to the display. Buyers will have to pay CNY 179 (roughly Rs 1860) for it. The smartphone measures 161.62 x 75.4 x 9.25 mm and weighs 190 grams. Meanwhile, the Razer Phone costs $699.
The idea of a "gaming" smartphone is an intriguing one, though one has to be careful about releasing and support such a device, lest it becomes an eternal joke within the gadget world.
The smartphone will also have a multi-stage direct-touch integrated liquid cooling system to prevent the handset from overheating.
