The official Twitter account for Huawei India posted the following tweet and although the hashtag says #HuaweiP20, the triple circle pattern in the video suggests it will either be just the more expensive P20 Pro or both, P20 and the P20 Pro.
Following the global debut of Huawei P20 and P20 Pro flagships last month, the Chinese smartphone maker is all set to bring the new smartphones to India. While we still don't have any specific timeline, the teaser is a hint that the launch of P20 and P20 Pro is imminent. There is no sign on the tag price also, yet considering the P20 Pro expenses around €899 overseas, we can expect a value point which is on the higher side. The price of the smartphone is expected to be Rs. 63,990 in India.
Specs-wise, the P20 and P20 Pro are nothing short of competing against the best flagships out there. Apart from 40MP primary RGB camera with f/1.8 aperture, the flagship also gets a 20MP monochrome camera with f/1.6 aperture, and an 8MP camera with telephoto lens, 3x optical zoom, 5x hybrid zoom. Between the larger lenses, there is a laser transmitter for quick autofocus, and a Leica color temperature sensor as well.
Talking about Huawei's latest flagships, the main highlight of the P20 Pro is the Leica triple camera setup at its back.
DxOMark, the camera reviewing website, has announced the P20 as the best smartphone camera ever with an overall score of 102 beating the iPhone X and the Samsung Galaxy S9. Both the P20 and P20 Pro also bring a brand new design language for the company. Both the phones also offer "Master AI" scene recognition, and AI-Assisted Composition, to help with things like alignment and framing. The Huawei P20 Pro likewise gets a 24 MP f/2.0 forward-looking camera for selfies. Huawei launching the P20 will come as a delight for fans in India seeing as how the last flagship from the company was the P9 that launched in India two years ago. The Pro model is offered with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage while the regular P20 comes with 4GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. Both the phones have 128GB of inbuilt storage.
Huawei P20, on the other hand, comes with a 5.8-inch RGBW FullView Display.
Coming to other aspects, the Huawei P20 Pro has a 6.1-inch OLED FullView Display. To continue everything chugging easily, the Pro also includes a 4,000 mAh battery.
Screen damage protection service - P20 and P20 Pro customers are eligible for one free front screen fix or replacement (within the first year of warranty). Both the batteries support Huawei SuperCharge fast charging as well.
