KJ yesudas, the much loved singer of Indian cinema has won the National recognition yet again.The actor has been adjudged as the Best Singer at the 65th National Film Awards for his song from the film Viswasapoorvam Mansoor.
The film also won awards for costume, make-up, and a special jury award. Rima Das' Assamese film "Village Rockstars", about the music aspirations of a village girl, was named the best feature film, besides scoring awards for the best location sound recordist, editing and best child artiste (Bhanita Das). The actress, who portrayed the role of Sameera, in the film Take Off has won a special mention at this year's National Film Awards. He said, the standard of the regional cinema is world-beating.
Director of the best Marathi film victor "Kaccha Limbu", Prasad Oak, told PTI, "This award is very very special as I have got it for my debut film". Hindi film "Newton", a dark comedy on Indian democracy, was named the best Hindi film and a special mention went to its actor Pankaj Tripathi for his portrayal of a cynical CRPF officer Atma Singh. I would look at all the actors, talk about them and I would say, "there should be not Sridevi, not Sridevi"!
Blockbuster "Baahubali 2: The Conclusion" won most popular film and awards for special effects and action choreography. She also did Tamil film Puli during her second stint. "Everyone has been thinking I am a national award winning actress and today it has finally come true", Divya told PTI.
"I just heard about it". A well deserving honour to one of the best actors of our country.
Fahadh Faasil won best supporting actor for "Thondimuthalum Dhriksakshiyum" and the film also won original screenplay.
