The base model will sell for 3299 Chinese yuan ($530, £370, AU$680) while the top-end model goes for 3,999 yuan ($640, £450, AU$830). Sadly, it doesn't have a built-in battery, so you have to power it with the provided 5V/2A wall adapter that plugs into a MicroUSB port.

On the front is a 5-megapixel selfie snapper which enables the users to click AI powered portrait images.

The smartphone is available in 6GB and 64GB storage variant, 6GB and 128GB memory version, and 8GB and 256GB memory variant for 3,299 yuan, 3,599 yuan and 3,999m yuan, respectively. There is no MicroSD card slot and storage can't be expanded. One with a regular lens, bigger pixel size of 1.4 ultra pixels and the other is a telephoto lens for better bokeh and optical zoom. The 15.6-inch device is not Xiaomi's first notebook. Running Android 7.1 Nougat, the device comes equipped with a 12MP rear camera with Sony IMX386 sensor, 4-axis OIS and f/2.0 aperture along with a 5MP front-facing camera. The rear camera can shoot videos at a maximum resolution of 2160p.

Mi MIX 2S features a 5.99-inch FHD+ (2160x1080) AMOLED display with an 18:9 aspect ratio. Connectivity options include Bluetooth 5.0, 4G VoLTE, and USB Type-C. It's going international as it is able to support dozens of global bands and will be supported by networks across 226 regions. And after all this, we look forward to the day when Xiaomi starts offering its phones to U.S. consumers. All models should work across the US, UK and Australia, though.

If the Mi Mix 2S sounds familiar, it's because it's essentially an upgrade over the Mi Mix Xiaomi was previously selling. The major changes are made in the camera department. The company also launched a new laptop called as Mi Gaming Laptop at the same event.

The smartphone will now use Xiaomi's new multi-frame noise reduction algorithms to get clearer pictures, just like Google's HDR+ feature. The highest configuration will also give you up to 16GB of DDR4 2,400MHz RAM, coupled with 256GB of NVMe SSD and a 1TB mechanical hard drive. It comes in Ceramic White and Ceramic Black colors.

According to Xiaomi, this will be the coolest running high-performance laptops available in the market.
