All eight games from the Indie Amplifier will eventually be given away through the program, and all free games will be yours to keep, even if you cancel your Twitch Prime subscription. This program will work better for them, offering up a number of games to try, instead of just a single title.
Following in the footsteps of its subscription competitors, Twitch Prime, which is included in Amazon Prime subscriptions, has now become more like PlayStation Plus and Xbox LIVE Gold by doling out a monthly allotment of free games.
As announced on the company blog, Free Games with Prime is a new Twitch program that will offer free games to Prime subscribers each month. There will be five games given away this month which includes Superhot, Shadow Tactics, Tales from Candlekeep, Oxenfree, and Mr. Shift, and another five will be given away in the following month.
The program will continue with new games each month, so you can download the current batch through March 31, with April's opening games including Tales From the Borderlands, Steamworld Dig 2, Kingsway, Tokyo 42 and Dubwars.
Some games have already been offered for free by the service, such as Superhot and Oxenfree, while Hotline Miami-like Mr. This is the first time Amazon and Twitch have used their partnership to hand out games on a regular basis. Ever since it arrived it launched in 2016, subscribers were privy to free games every so often. Twitch posted a full list of upcoming free games for the rest of March and April. In the coming months, you can expect to see the remainder of the Indie Amplifier games, such as Tumblestone and High Hell.
