Jan Vertonghen says the rest of the Tottenham Hotspur squad need to continue to step up if Harry Kane is set for a long spell out with an ankle injury.

Serge Aurier expressed delight after scoring his second English Premier League goal in Tottenham Hotspur's 4-1 win over AFC Bournemouth.

Son Heung-Min's second half brace in the 62nd and 87th minutes, fired the Wembley Stadium outfit ahead as Aurier's header in stoppage time sealed victory for Mauricio Pochettino's side, thus, extending their unbeaten run to 12 league games. "He is a great player and if it is a serious injury we will miss him", Vertonghen told Sky Sports. "The scoreline was flattering for them I feel".

Sevilla have a hard test coming up next week as they look to eliminate Manchester United from Champions League play.

"We competed, we gave everything into the match physically".

Tottenham will be looking to bounce back from their European disappointment when they take on Bournemouth at Dean Court on Sunday afternoon.

Cook impressed against Mousa Dembele and Victor Wanyama in the heart of midfield on Sunday, earning huge praise from pundit Jamie Redknapp after the game.

He continued: "We needed to get our mentality right".

"They are obviously a great team but not the style that we want to play". Barcelona did it and so many others did in the way that we want to play.
