Through roughly two days of the NFL's legal tampering period, the Indianapolis Colts have made little noise but the Jacksonville Jaguars are making headlines and the latest comes in the form of wide receiver Donte Moncrief. Lee had 56 receptions for 702 yards and just three touchdowns in the role. Since being selected in the third round of the 2014 NFL Draft out of Ole Miss, he's caught 152 passes for 1,875 yards and 18 touchdowns, 13 of which he hauled in between 2015-16.
The Jacksonville Jaguars chose to let top wideout Allen Robinson hit the open market, and they lost him to the Chicago Bears.
The Jacksonville Jaguars are keeping wide receiver Marqise Lee in the fold with a new four-year contract, multiple outlets reported Tuesday.
The terms of Moncrief's deal have yet to be released, but for a 24-year-old on his second contract, it should be a healthy but not bank-breaking amount. Moncrief has been limited to 21 games over the past two seasons due to injuries, but he doesn't turn 25 until August and has flashed a high ceiling at times. His output was negatively affected by the ongoing shoulder problems for Colts starting quarterback Andrew Luck; with Luck sidelined for all of 2017, Moncrief totaled just 26 catches for 391 yards and two scores.
