"Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety" has won a million hearts and the audience found an instant connect with the storyline. Though the movie has emerged as a commercial success and is now second highest grossing movie of 2018 with 118 Crore at Box-office. It now stands at the total of United States dollars $ 2.20 million (14.30 crores) at the overseas box office.

The year 2018 began on a pleasant note for Bollywood with Sanjay Leela Bhansali's controversial period drama Padmaavat setting the cash registers ringing at the box office. However, the most important thing is, Akshay Kumar's PadMan came send in front of Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety.

Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety had faced a lot of screen crunch and tough comepetition from movies with big names like Pari, Hate Story IV, Dil Junglee, 3 Storeys SKTKS still continues to attract the audiences with its romantic comedy and fantastic comic punches. Where Padman saw a tremendous fall in its Collection in its second week, SKTKS remained rock steady.

Amid all, Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety has also broken the stereotype of portraying Alok Nath from Sanskaari Babuji to Chilled out Dadaji. Filmmaker Luv Ranjan has previously worked with Kartik Aaryan and Nushrat Bharucha in "Pyaar Ka Punchanama" series. I think this is also proof to the fact that as long as you bring good content to the table, people will always appreciate your work and enjoy it. SKTKS is a film that negates the fact that only a film with huge stars can create big numbers. Starring Kartik Aaryan and Sunny Singh in the lead, it does take you back to Pyar Ka Punchnama 2, but the bromance is refreshing. The film is being directed by Akiv Ali.
