We learned earlier this year that the game is in the works, and today's announcement sheds light on the plot and timing. Someone had leaked footage of the gameplay - which looked wonderful - but that was about it. And that's because the game is another mobile management simulation.

Warner Brothers will work with Westworld producers and writers on the game, which is meant to "complement and augment the rich depth of the series", according to a statement from WB.

The game is set to launch in 2018 for both iOS and Android devices. Westworld's writers are working closely on the game, which looks to complement the show in an interesting way. This is where things get fun, as the player will be able to create their own version of Westworld. That means players will have full control over operations of the park, including the manufacturing and care of the parks' many AI hosts and guest requests.
