Kid Rock to be inducted into WWE Hall of Fame

Citing more deserving names like Fred Durst, or Cyndi Lauper, fans believe that Kid Rock jumped the Hall of Fame line.

Kid Rock performs during Live Nation's National Concert Day in New York May 5, 2015.

Joining Kid Rock in the 2018 class of the WWE Hall of Fame are Goldberg, The Dudley Boyz, Ivory, Jeff Jarrett, Hillbilly Jim, and the Warrior Award recipient Jarrius "JJ" Robertson.

Kid Rock's musical career is legendary. In the early days of The Undertaker's biker gimmick, the Dead Man rode down to the ring on a motorcycle to the hard rocking sounds of "American Badass". He also covered the ZZ Top classic "Legs" as a theme song for Stacy Kiebler in 2005.

"Kid Rock's music has also been entrance music for a select few Superstars", it continued.

Kid Rock's history with WWE goes back years, and includes taking the stage at wrestling events such as Wrestlemania 25 in Houston, Texas, in April 2009.

That's right, Detroit's chief export and person directly responsible for 14% of the nation's sales of truck nuts, will stand alongside wrestling royalty as a member of the WWE Hall of Fame class of 2018, with the Vince McMahon pro-wrestling conglomerate confirming the news earlier this morning. I have so much respect for what those guys and girls do.

Ritchie joins previous celebrity inductees, including Snoop Dogg, Mike Tyson, and Arnold Schwarzenegger. I think it would be fitting to have one rock star in Chris Jericho induct another rock star in Kid Rock.
