UFC 225 takes place June 9 at United Center in Chicago.

Former UFC bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey is set to light up Wrestlemania 34 on April 8 and former WWE superstar CM Punk is expected to make his return to the UFC Octagon in Chicago.

After leaving the WWE in 2014 over numerous disagreements, Punk signed with the UFC in December 2014 to a multi-fight contract despite having no professional fighting background.

"June nine, after I win and lock eyes with my lovely wife, embrace my coaches and shout out my entire team", Punk wrote, responding to a Twitter using asking when he'll fight again. He's been a constant presence at the Roufusport camp in Milwaukee, Wis., training alongside the likes of UFC welterweight champion Tyron Woodley, former lightweight champ Anthony Pettis, former ONE Championship titleholder Ben Askren and other notables. He took on the young and talented prospect, Mickey Gall and was unable to land a single punch in the two minutes and fourteen seconds that the fight lasted before Punk tapped out to a rear-naked-choke.

CM Punk, for the most part, has been very quiet when discussing his UFC career following his debut loss at UFC 203.

"I don't know. I don't know that's where he'll fight", White said. We'll see what happens.

White, for the record, has yet to comment on Punk's latest statement.

At the time of this writing, it is unknown who Punk's opponent for UFC 225 is going to be.
