As reported by the Daily Mail, the former actress, who was brought up as an Episcopalian, was baptised into the Church of England in a secret ceremony on Tuesday evening with her fiancé Prince Harry by her side.

Meghan's father will not be giving her away.

The 36-year-old actress has reportedly decided not to have her father walk her up the aisle, as he is struggling with the attention around the day.

'The royals understand why Meghan might prefer to have her mother, but it's not exactly traditional to have a woman walk a bride down the aisle, ' the source added.

The American star jumped at the chance to lunch with Camilla, and the Duchess has reportedly guided Meghan through the first few months of her new life.

"Not to mention the fact that there has been some bad blood between Harry and Thomas after Harry made comments about her finally getting the family she never had".

"Some of the royals aren't happy about the idea, so they suggested that William do it".

The royal couple spent time at an event hosted by Stemettes - an initiative that aims to inspire the next generation of women to pursue careers in Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths (STEM) - at Millennium Point, a site that provides workspace for educational and STEM-related organisations.

Meghan Markle's dad and brother are not invited to her wedding - with Prince William instead set to walk her down the aisle, according to reports.

Although the royals are sympathetic to Meghan's situation, they are reluctant to break with tradition.
