Gigi Hadid's shot down comments on her weight before and now, she's doing it yet again.

"Over the last few years I've been properly medicated to help symptoms including [inflammation & water retention], as well as extreme fatigue, metabolism issues, body's ability to retain heat etc.", she wrote.

It's utterly sad that she actually felt the need to clarify.

The supermodel was diagnosed with Hashimoto's disease, which is also known as chronic lymphocytic thyroiditis.

Gigi went on to say that while stress and excessive travel - the hallmarks of her career - can affect the body, she's always eaten the same.

"I may be "too skinny" for you-honestly this skinny isn't what I want to be-but I feel healthier internally and am still learning and growing with my body every day, as everyone is".

Furthermore, Gigi addressed the rumor that she takes drugs.

She continues that toned muscles and maybe a perkier behind are her goals for the biggest fashion show of the year. Also, Hadid insisted that she is not starving herself or eating less.

She may be one of the most in-demand models, but Gigi Hadid has shown she isn't immune from hurtful comments as she hit back at body shamers in a passionate series of tweets. "Not to judge others, but drugs are not my thing, stop putting me in that box just because u don't understand the way my body has matured".

She ended her message asking for all to "have more empathy" and to 'use your energy to lift those that you admire rather than be cruel to those u don't'. The model concluded her rant by telling people to stop shaming others if they don't know what's really going on. "I love you!" she gushed.

She has recently been on the catwalk at New York Fashion Week, showing off a futuristic space girl look with bright pink hair, zipped up pink topped that exposed her torso and silver skirt. She has often been asked for tips to maintain beauty. Many celebrities took to their handles and showed their support to Hadid.

Talking on Twitter, she said that the condition was at its worse when she was 17 and just starting out in the industry. Let's hope that with time, we learn to appreciate the good in people than nitpicking some flaw that doesn't even exist to yank them down.

The model - who has walked for Bottega Veneta and Prabal Gurung this weekend - dismissed speculation that her weight loss has had anything to do with drugs.
