Assassin's Creed Rogue remastered coming to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One

Assassin's Creed Rogue Remastered is set for release on March 20th.

Ubisoft has announced that a free update will be rolled out alongside the expansion that will add new bits and pieces from the Nightmare, First Civilization, Gladiator and Wacky packs to the Heka chests item pool.

This upcoming remaster is being developed by the same studio that originally developed Rogue - Ubisoft Sofia - and figures to greatly enhance the original title's visuals. I'm certainly looking forward to playing this one when it drops on PS4 and Xbox One on March 20. Two new pieces of DLC, "Master Templar" and "Explorer" will offer up new customisations and outfits including Bayek's legacy garb from Assassin's Creed: Origins.

Players who might not have played Rogue before might recognize Shae anyway, as he's the killer of Arno's father in the beginning of Assassin's Creed Unity. It tells the tale of a young settler named Shay Patrick Cormac who has just been recruited into the Colonial Brotherhood of Assassins.

The big difference? You're playing as a baddie Templar hunting down Assassins - the only game in the series where you can do this.

A lot of players and fans may have missed this entry into the Assassin's Creed due to the game being released alongside Black Flag. Because players are sailing in the cold North Atlantic, falling in the water will quickly deplete Shay's life.

It's official, Assassin's Creed Rogue Remastered is heading to the Xbox One and PS4 with 4K support and all the original DLC! So, unless you have exhausted that game and are in dire need to hit the seas again, I'd wait for this one to go on sale before filling in these story gaps.
