7, 2018-PC gaming today makes the leap to a giant screen, with NVIDIA's introduction of big format gaming displays, or BFGDs. While this already exists with smaller monitors, these displays will be 65 inches. Having said that, NVIDIA's first BFGD solution doesn't seem like just another Android TV featuring a large panel, as it also comes with incorporated SHIELD capabilities, giving users the option of streaming SHIELD content directly onto their TVs without requiring an external box or tablet for the service. "BFGDs change that. With NVIDIA's latest technology built into these new displays, PC gamers can now experience their favorite titles in all the low-latency glory they deserve". The display will support a 120Hz refresh rate at 4K resolution, and are bound to be very expensive. A full-array direct backlight delivers up to 1,000 nits peak luminance, and local dimming provides higher contrast, deeper blacks and brighter whites. This includes G-Sync, which, like AMD's FreeSync, aims to eliminate screen tearing. Together with G-SYNC HDR technology created to synchronize the panel's refresh rate of 120Hz to whatever happens in a running game at any given time, the TV delivers ultra-low latency and a highly-responsive tear-free experience in gaming scenarios, either when gaming directly on a connected machine or when streaming content from a desktop, laptop, or console using the NVIDIA GameStream service. A bundled remote and game controller allows easy navigation and access to movies and TV shows from the most popular streaming apps.

With support for the Google Assistant, the entire experience can be controlled simply by using your voice. This matches the screen's refresh rate to the video source's actual frame rate, eliminating interpolation and presenting the video content as it was meant to be viewed by the director.

Until Nvidia's partners in this BFGD enterprise make their own announcements, we can't give you exact details on pricing and availability, but you can expect these to be premium devices commanding a premium price.
