However, if you are expecting the 2018 refresh of the Nokia 6 to be drastically different from the original Nokia 6, then you're in for major disappointment. The launch is exclusive to the Chinese market as of now and the company may make an announcement regarding the launch for other global markets at the MWC 2018 event.
The Nokia 6 (2018) has leaked out. The side profile is similar to what we have seen in the previous generation model launched a year ago and is robust as well. The same is true about its pricing as well, which means, much like its predecessor, the new Nokia 6 also appears to be a solid mid-ranger, at least on paper. The Nokia 6 2nd-gen will initially go on sale in China from January 10th at a starting price of 1499 yuan ($230 / Rs. 14,655). The handset will come in a choice of two colors, silver or blac and prices will start at CNY 1,499. However, it is confirmed that Nokia will bring five new smartphones in 2018.
The most immediately noticeable aspect of the Nokia 6 (2018) is the relocation of its fingerprint sensor to the back. At the front, there is an 8MP camera with same aperture and 84-degree wide-angle lens.
The new Nokia 6 boasts a splendid 5.5-inch full HD that also has a screen resolution of 1920×1080 pixels besides a 2.5d curved display alongside a fantastic Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. It has an option to expand the storage space by using a microSD card (up to 128GB). The integrated 3000mAh battery will not only be able to deliver an enhanced backup but also helps you to charge the device quickly.
Update: Multiple sources claim the Nokia 6 (2018) will feature a regular MicroUSB port instead of a Type-C one as previously thought. For selfies and video calling, an 8-megapixel front-facing snapper will sere admirably well. It runs on Qualcomm's Snapdragon 630 processor clocking 2.2GHz speed coupled with 4GB of RAM. Lastly, Snapdragon 630 brings along Quick Charge 4 support to devices.
On the camera front, the smartphone flaunts a 16-megapixel camera with PDAF, 1.0um sensor, f/2.0 aperture, and dual-tone LED flash.
